Career Coaching and Testing

I offer career coaching and testing  to help clients develop a career roadmap and strategies for career satisfaction and success. I've learned that virtually everyone benefits from career assessment and testing, career and employer research, interview preparation, assistance in the job search, reference checking and our relationships with experienced recruiters and executive search firms.

Services like these are especially important in this weakened economy, where the job market has become challenging for everyone from students to senior executives.  As unemployment has risen, it has become more difficult to make the right career choices, and having a career coach to guide you through the process can make all the difference.

I keep abreast of current job market trends by reviewing available government data, speaking with corporate recruiters and small business owners in the area and through the news media. High school and college students, unhappy workers, uncertain workers, terminated workers, returning workers and those attempting to advance their careers all face similar, as well as somewhat unique circumstances, which we address on a case-by-case basis. 

The career coaching program is a client-driven process, so you, along with our certified life coach, work to fashion the best program for you. As we collect data, analyzes test results and accumulates a wealth of information on you and the potential markets for your talents, you have the chance to expand, explore and gain insights about yourself and the job market.

Occupational, or vocational, testing is the foundation of our work with most clients. It has proven successful with teenagers headed off to college and senior executives looking to make the transition into other industries. The career coaching program uses consultations and testing on skills, aptitudes, motivations and interviews to provide job-matching by our Certified Life Coach, as well as a variety of optional follow-up services once you've begun to build your roadmap. Those optional services include interview preparation, academic preparation, targeting jobs for you, producing top-quality resumes and cover letters, consulting in salary negotiation and also consulting on assisting you the duties of your new position.
